Israel's military said it was preparing forces for the next phases of the war , as it sets the stage for an expected ground operation in the Gaza Strip to root out militant groups that attacked the country's south earlier this month.
Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said the preparations included training exercises and equipping troops for the field.
The order in which the new equipment was being provided, he said, was according to those who will "enter into the battle first," an indication that a ground invasion is ahead.
On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces said that Israel hadn't so far decided on prosecuting a ground operation in Gaza.
